The 21st edition of the Celtic Festival Montelago was another great success! Those who have been attending the festival since the early years arrived with their families, thanks to the many spaces dedicated to children, such as the Kids Tent or the Family Village.
The Celtic Festival at Montelago 2024 was, according to frequent visitors, the best ever, thanks to a very rich programme that attracted a very diverse and above all very European audience. Music is always the protagonist, with an outstanding performance by the German band Blind Guardian, but also culture and debates in the Tolken Tent, traditional dances and songs in the new Balfolk Stage arena, and workshops organised with lessons on music, trekking, handicrafts, history and nature…
Nature and environmental sustainability, with ECOEVENT’s certification the festival is maturing and keeping up with the times and needs of our century. ECOZONA IBERIAN is proud to be part of this journey, our aim is always to make a concrete contribution to reducing plastic waste.
The 6 Water Houses we installed in the festival area produced a very important environmental result:
- 48,000 total litres of water delivered (micro-filtered and chilled)
- 96,000 unused PET plastic bottles (!!)
- 2,880 kg of plastic waste NOT produced
- 198,528 kg of CO2 NOT EMITTED into the atmosphere
- 60,479 litres of oil NOT CONSUMED for the production of the bottles and their transport
